Lighting Designer
Alex spent five years as Kneehighıs Production Manager, including tours to Australia, China, New Zealand, Scandinavia and Syria. During that time he visited many theatres Ĵ some dreadful, some delightful. This started an interest in designing theatres, which led to his current part-time job with Arup Venue Consulting. Lighting designs for Kneehigh include ‘Rapunzel', ‘Tristan & Yseult', outdoors and at the National Theatre, ‘Wagstaffe the Wind-up Boy', ‘The Wooden Frock', ‘The Red Shoes' and ‘The Riot'. Other designs include ‘Guilty Fingers' and ‘Blonde' (C-Scape Dance), ‘Etta Jenks' and ‘Achidi Jıs Final Hours' (Finborough), ‘Lonely Lives' (Union Theatre and BAC), ‘Send for Mr Plim' (BAC) and the launch party for this yearıs Architecture Biennale in Venice.
