Malcolm has worked with Kneehigh on ‘Don John', ‘Brief Encounter', ‘Cymbeline', ‘Nights at the Circus', ‘The Bacchae', ‘Pandora's Box' and ‘Antigone at Hell's Mouth'.  

Other theatre includes ‘Six Characters in Search of an Author' and ‘Calendar Girls' (Chichester Festival Theatre and West End); ‘Tutti Frutti' (National Theatre of Scotland); ‘Faustus' (Headlong); ‘Hamlet' (English Touring Theatre and West End); ‘The Grouch', ‘Scuffer', ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', ‘Homage to Catalonia' (West Yorkshire Playhouse); ‘The Bloody Chamber', ‘The Little Prince' (Northern Stage) and ‘Carmen Jones' (Royal Festival Hall). 

Dance and opera includes ‘Designer Body', ‘MaEternal' and ‘La Nuit Intime' (balletLORENT); ‘Who put Bella in the Wych Elm' (Almeida Aldeburgh Opera); ‘The Philosophers' Stone' (Garsington Opera) and ‘The Seven Deadly Sins' (Welsh National Opera).
