The Wooden Frock
Directed by Emma Rice.
Adapted by Emma Rice and Tom Morris.

The Wooden Frock is adapted from the Cinderella family of stories. Dark, dangerous and delightful, Kneehigh Theatre brings this intoxicating folk story to vivid life. Music hall meets Zen in this tale of mystery and revelation, innocence and experience.
The Wooden Frock is a tale of magic, passion and anarchy. Fresh, moving and fizzing with music, film and puppetry, witness the journey from winter to spring, dark to light.
Co-produced with Battersea Arts Centre and The West Yorkshire Playhouse The Wooden Frock was adapted from original sources by Kneehigh’s Emma Rice and Tom Morris, Associate Director at the Royal National Theatre and designed by Bill Mitchell.
Nominated for the TMA Opus Award for Best Touring Production 2004.
