We started off the year in Wadebridge with Anna Maria Murphy collecting stories. The Kneehigh Ramblers then returned to perform the stories with young people from Wadebridge performing a Scoot Dance they had been taught by Bec Applebee, accompanied by musicians from Dalla. The rain didn’t dampen our spirits as we headed back into the Ambulance Hall warmed by tea and saffron cake.
We invited four groups (Coastline Homeless Service, Carefree, Shallal and Early Intervention into Psychosis Team) up to the Barns for a series of Bread and Barns workshops. The workshops started with the group members making delicious bread together. They then took part in the workshops activity, either photography with Steve Tanner, creative writing with Anna and Seth Hampshire, or film making with Brett Harvey.
In June we ran a series of Love Letter workshops with groups from across west Cornwall. 89 young people attended a workshop from Treyla, WILD, Penhaligon’s Friends, Shallal, Praze-an-Beeble Guides, and Hear Our Voice. The workshops included photography with Steve Tanner, drama with Simon Harvey, creative writing with Anna and Seth Hampshire, and singing with Mary Woodvine and Vicky Abbot.
