In the first of an occasional guest blog by our chief Rambler and writer Anna Maria Murphy, we hear about her initial walk and some unexpected animals...
"Today in the weather of all weathers the human map that is Chris Richmond and I went on a walk reccy for the up and coming February Rambles. He knows a Cornwall that is unseen and unknown by most. Down a flooded lane, we were followed by a herd of rampaging geese, who only calmed down when we crossed over their invisible territory.
"We then thought we heard growling. Nothing there though, but later learnt that this was the field that Harry Trengrove had kept his two bears, along with three wolves and an animal that no-one could identify.
"On the next walk we will hear the story of Ben Mudge and visit Mars, otherwise known as Wheal Busy............."
