Spring 2015: Rambles in Helston

Spring 2015: Rambles in Helston

In Spring 205, Rambles Lead Artist Anna Maria Murphy walked for 3 days from Porthleven to St Keverne, collecting tales along the way.

Alongside Jim Carey and Jenny Beare she read stories at the fireside, and in pubs tucked next to the shore. We also held workshops in Helston with the Park View Adult Learning Disability Group, WILD Young Parents and Helston Museum Mini Movers. Anna also explored the Museum and gathered stories from the museum volunteers and Helston History Group.

To bring together this activity and celebrate the end of the Helston Residency we held a two day event in the CAST buidling. On the Saturday we held drop in workshops making banners, animations and bread. On Sunday Anna, Jim and Jenny told the stories Anna had collected on her walks around Helston.
