A Kneehigh and Charles Hazlewood collaboration
By Benjamin Britten
Conducted by Charles Hazlewood
Directed by Simon Harvey (Kneehigh)
This dramatic one-off production of Benjamin Britten’s spectacular 1957 opera is a collaboration between world-renowned theatre company Kneehigh and conductor Charles Hazlewood. Engaging and accessible, this is an opera for everyone.
Noye’s Fludde is the story of Noah's Flood and was designed to be performed by and for communities, in non-theatre spaces, so where better than a huge shed right next to the Somerset Levels?
Members of the Philharmonia Orchestra will join opera singers and a chorus of hundreds of local school children in what might be the biggest community opera ever. The show is followed by live music on the green, delicious food and drink, and plenty of activities to keep all ages happy.
