Kneehigh Theatre and Northern Stage present the tantalisingly sensual, darkly comic, and monstrously musical world of Lulu. Led by a ringmaster, and played out on a vast installation of rubble, a group of battered performers emerges from the scorched debris of a burnt-out theatre to tell the story of Lulu and the tragic demise of her lover's.

Wedekind’s chilling tale of the ultimate femme fatale is re-imagined as a grotesque cabaret featuring can-canning ghosts, a singing corpse and a foul mouthed Compere. With a mix of live and recorded music, dance and video projection Lulu’s decadent world is brought to life.
