The matinees start at 3pm and the evening shows start at 7:30pm but the site is open all day. Please do come early, eat, drink, chat to friends, listen to music, build sandcastles and generally get into the spirit of the night. There will be plenty to see, hear and do.
Driving: Pop PL25 3RG into your Satnav. Or go old school: Follow the A390 through St Austell. Pass the Pinetum Gardens and take the Right at the next roundabout onto Par Moor Road. Turn right after Screwfix to pass a campsite on your right. Follow the road round to the right, then take a left at the Crossroad onto Beach Road. Park at the top car park and walk down the steps or level track onto the beach.
For daytime shows, the number 25 bus goes to Carlyon Bay.
For evening shows a taxi from St Austell train station takes about 12 minutes.
Seating is unreserved and standing for UBU. For other shows there are unreserved seats but all the seats in the Asylum have great views of the show. We provide cushions and rugs to keep everyone comfy and snug, and for those with mobility issues, we have seats reserved at the lower part of the auditorium that offer ease of access and full back support. You can also hire back supports from the FOH area. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own cushions and rugs – whatever makes you most comfortable.
If you need any particular assistance, please let us know in advance and we can ensure you are catered for.
There is plenty of free parking on site, with disabled parking just a moment away from the entrance to the tent. Our team will be on hand to deal with any special requirements, again if there is anything specific we’ll need to think about, please let us know so we can be organised in advance of your arrival on site.
The Asylum is intended to be a place of sanctuary, fun and freedom. We have worked with the pop ups on the beach to ensure that there is a great selection of locally sourced food and drink on site. If we are lucky with the weather, and you would still like to bring your own food then you are welcome to, but we wholeheartedly encourage you to take advantage of the delicious food on offer – all very reasonably priced.
The whole site is licensed and as such we can’t allow people to bring their own drinks on site. There a great bar on site.
There is no need to pre-order food this year. Click here for more information about food and drink.
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to let animals on site, with the usual exception of guide dogs, so please leave your pups at home.
