This summer, you are invited to a Festival of Pandemonium!

The Asylum is back in a new site at The Lost Gardens of Heligan with three shows set to delight you! This year it’s all about breaking the rules in Kneehigh style, for our season of world-class theatre and epic live music from 2 August until 22 September.

Would you cheer as daft dictators are overthrown and you hear a vast karaoke choir (you!) sing together in perfect protest? Then don’t miss Kneehigh's Ubu! Kneehigh’s new musical, a riotous union of Alfred Jarry’s uproarious play King Ubu, and the sheer unbridled joy of karaoke!

Have you ever wanted to witness lovesick amphibians hop to the beat? Look no further than our adaptation of Quentin Blake’s gorgeous hip-hoppity adventure The Dancing Frog.

Maybe you fancy going quackers for the return of Cornwall’s favourite, oversized duck and the most functional, dysfunctional family in all of the wild southwest? Then Fup is for you - Kneehigh’s glorious adaption of the splendid Jim Dodge novel is back!

We invite you to join us as we celebrate, rave, rant, sing, shout, shimmy and spontaneously combust with the absurdities of our times! The world has gone mad and what better place to find sanctuary?

We have tickets that can be combined with entry to the Lost Gardens of Heligan and discounts if you book as a family group or if you are lucky enough to be Under 26!

We are also currently looking for volunteers to help us make Asylum great this year (!) Come and join the madness with us – you know you want to! Find out more about volunteering here.

The Asylum takes place from 2 August until 22 September. Full details can be found on our Current Shows page.

We hate spam as much as you do, so we won't pass your details on to anyone else, and we'll only send you emails you have agreed to receiving. And of course, you can unsubscribe at any time.

We try to make access to the Asylum as easy as possible for everyone, but there is no getting away from it, the Asylum is a large tent in the middle of a field. If it has been particularly rainy the site can get very wet so we advise wearing sensible shoes, as well as bringing warm layers to evening performances as it can get a bit chilly.

All tickets for this year's Asylum are unreserved. For evening performances, access to the site will be available from 6pm, and from 2.30pm for matinees.

When you arrive on site please let our Asylum volunteers know  if you require a disabled parking space.

Wheelchair users are of course welcome to the Asylum, but please ensure you book your tickets over the telephone and inform the Hall for Cornwall that you require a wheelchair space. We will be annoucing signed performace dates very soon, please keep an eye on our website, Facebook, and Twitter for more information,

If you have any questions about access at the Asylum please call the Kneehigh office on 01872 267910.
